On staying intentionally small

Some companies grow because they must. Others grow because they think they should. The difference between the two matters more than most people admit.

Focus is important

Deckker is built around a narrow idea. Help founders tell a clear story, without noise, without unnecessary tools, without pressure to perform growth for its own sake. That kind of focus does not benefit from constant expansion. It benefits from care.

Staying small allows decisions to remain sharp. Product changes can be evaluated by taste and usefulness rather than by impact on quarterly targets. Support stays human. The product evolves at a pace that respects the people using it and the people building it.

Deckker is focused on product

This is not a rejection of ambition. It is a different definition of it. Building something durable, calm, and trusted requires restraint. Growth that compromises clarity eventually erodes the very thing that made the product valuable.

We are growing in a pace that suits us

For now, staying intentionally small is not a lack of confidence. It is an expression of it.
